Ashley M. Poland is a genre writer living in northeast Kansas. In her active fiction years, she's tried a little bit of everything -- there's a big heap of sci-fi, with smaller amounts of romance, fantasy, and urban fantasy. And you know what? People love it.
She's also signed her name to a load of tech articles about computers, software, and the Internet. You can probably guess what her interests are.
While Ashley has been writing and sharing her short fiction independently all over the Internet for several years now, she's also seeking publication some pretty rad novels. A preview of the most recently completed novel, DREAMING OF EDEN, is available here on the website. Get your read on.
Okay, I can only pretend to take myself seriously for so long. With less ego attached, I will say all of that is true. I've been writing for a long time, and sharing that writing for years. All these little blurbs you're going to find on the website come from readers. Like this one:
"It made me remember how scary and exhilarating it is when you first fall in love and you're not sure how the other person feels."
Or less glowingly:
"You have a good writing style, but tone down on the cuss words."
I have.
I am unpublished in a traditional, go-buy-these-books-on-Amazon sort of way, but it's something I'm working to actively remedy. While DREAMING OF EDEN works its magic, I'm working rewriting a sci-fi novel about racing & organized crime, and then rewriting a fantasy duology after that. 2013 is the year of rewriting. I'm also writing a fantasy(?) novel about skypirates on the side.
Want to find me elsewhere? I'm on Facebook & Twitter, and I babble about my writing a lot of Tumblr. Though reader beware: I also share a lot of fandom-related stuff on Tumblr.
